Home Automation and Large Project Planning
When designing whole home automation and audio video systems, there needs to be a unique level of communication between the homeowner, contruction personnel, and audio video professionals. We have a standard process that is typical between homeowner and Capitol Audio Video that stands as a guide to how the audio visual and Austin home automation design process works best.
- First meeting: meet and greet and discuss technological potential and rough budget constraints with some standard do’s and don’ts
- Capitol system design, efficacy & usability, and initial detailed proposal for scope of work based on initial meeting findings
- Recommended proposal emailed or presented to client and building professional (if warranted)
- Phone call or in person meeting to help client navigate the details and discuss the recommended design and attributes
- Changes and updates to the original proposal agreed upon and notated
- Follow up proposal with changes and updates
- Phone call to discuss the 2nd round of changes and updates
- Final Revisions and agreed final layout
- Final Proposal and any last issues/questions/changes before project kickoff
- Services agreement and project confirmation
- Project Kickoff Meeting (Optional)
This is a basic guide on how the A/V design and initial stages (pre project kickoff) typically work. There may be differences from project to project, and client to client, but this gives the client a rough idea of how things typically move forward in the layout and design process with Capitol Audio Video.
